Well, tonight is my last night in America until June 23rd. I can't believe it!
I haven't had much to post which is why I haven't blogged in a while BUT I hope to be a regular blogger during this European adventure! I promise to attempt weekly updates!
So, here are just some random thoughts:
I fly out from Charlotte tomorrow at 5:55 to Philly where I have almost a two hour layover and then it's straight to Dublin. I'll arrive at 8:50 am and then it's off to the National University of Ireland at Maynooth! The school is sending a bus to pick up students flying in so that will be an awesome way to make new friends!
There's one other student from FMU headed to NUIM with me named Colleen. We've hung out a few times and she is really cool and down to earth which is a super plus! I think we'll get along well during this adventure! We have nothing to do until Thursday (when orientation begins) so our plan is to explore Maynooth. I'm looking forward to that! According to the weather report, it will be snowing all day Monday and Tuesday so I hope I don't freeze!
I'm really looking forward to the month of June! Colleen and I are going on an adventure along with Holly who is another student from FMU who will fly over to Dublin after the semester here. We're flying from Dublin to Athens, Greece and we'll spend a few days there. We're going to take aday cruise to some of the Greek islands. Then we're heading over to Pompeii and from there it's Rome and then Florence. Next up is Salzburg (where the Sound of Music was filmed) and then Munich. After that we're heading to Paris and then Normandy. From there we head back to Dublin for a day and then it's back to America! All we're taking are backpacks! I'm PUMPED! That trip is all set up and set in stone so we're doing it whether we want to or not!
Well I just wanted to at least get in one blog seeing as I don't know when I'll do my next. I'll try very hard to aim for next weekend. However, I make no promises!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week! And thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers I've been getting. I love all the messages and posts on facebook. Thanks, y'all!:)
xoxo,
B
